IGI and Security 101 Donate Security Products and Services to Camp Good Days

Local security company franchise and IGI partner Security 101 has with announced that Camp Good Days & Special Times is the recipient of its $10,000 giveaway promotion called The Gift of Security.

Victor Wainwright, formerly a CTO with DELL Technologies, left the corporate world to open his own business and bring his global experience to the Rochester area & Upstate NY in 2019. Wainright opened a franchise location of Security 101, the national commercial security systems company with more than 45 locations nationwide.

After hanging his sign, the first thing Victor did was partner with some of his vendors, including IGI, to participate with a national giveback campaign called The Gift of Security.  This program offers a local not-for-profit organization the chance to win a video surveillance system worth $10,000, fully installed and supported by Security 101.

Also part of the giveaway was a one-year subscription to IGI’s Nodeware® Vulnerability Management solution—helping ensure that the charity is meeting both its physical security and cybersecurity needs. Nodeware® will help improve the organization’s cybersecurity posture and meet compliance requirements.

With the help of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, the area not-for-profits were notified of Victor’s  promotion and invited to submit their charity to win the prize. To help narrow the field, a panel of judges was selected to pick three of the many charities submitted to be considered.  These selected charities were The YWCA of Rochester, Center for Youth, and Camp Good Days & Special Times

The finalists were then announced to the community and directed to visit a portal to vote for their favorite charity to win.  Among the SECURITY 101 national locations, Rochester drove in the 4th highest level number of votes.

Camp Good Days and Special Times was named the Grand Prize Winner and was awarded the prizes in early January. Security 101 is also providing the two runner-ups with a free Physical Security Assessment, as well as a vulnerability scan powered by Nodeware®.
